"Lieu de Rencontre (Meeting Place) Le Pouget" is an international
organization which grew out of the former non-profit "Village Européen du
Pouget" to prevent the architecturally and historically unique and restored
Hamlet of Le Pouget to become yet another vacation spot of seperately owned
condominiums.  Its size and location within the borders of the National Park
of the Cevennes make Le Pouget ideal for workshops, small conferences, and
group or company retreats with up to 70 people maximum. The majority of
accomodations have Hostel character. But Le Pouget is also an ideal
location for vacations, family, class, and other reunions. Gatherings are
self-managed by the participants with minimal interference, but good help,
from Lieu de Rencontre. Basic fee per person is appr. 90 FF in the high
season; fees for large groups and groups who come on an annually recurring
basis can be negotiated. Le Pouget is 20 min on foot from the SNCF station
Villefort on the Paris-Nimes line. Street connections by car are excellent.
